Judging by the traffic on the way into the office, more and more people are returning to work. For many, it has been more than 240 days out of the office! Going back can be overwhelming and stressful; remembering procedures, understand new policies, reacquainting with co-workers, and office politics. Employers helping employees work through these challenges will go a long way in improving employee morale, increasing productivity, and job satisfaction. The best way to accomplish this is by conducting a sort of re-onboarding. We suggest treating returning workers as though they are brand new to the company because, in many ways, they are. So, host that welcome lunch, hold an orientation session, and remind them they are a valued team member!
